True Woman Retreat

Last weekend I had the opportunity to spend some time with my Father and some girlfriends at Highview's women's retreat.  We headed up to a lodge in Indiana and had a wonderful time!  No diaper changes, runny noses, or a million questions!!  I actually got to eat dinner and have some good, adult conversation.  Then we had great sessions on prayer and biblical womanhood.  Some of my favorite "take aways" from this weekend....

*  Titus 2:4-5 
 "Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God."
These are seven virtues of a godly woman....and I know I can't accomplish them on my own!

*  Matthew 7:24
"Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock."
My prayer is that I would actually DO more of God's word, not just read it.
