In the morning we stopped and picked up some doughnuts for her class. Of course, they were a big hit. Gracie was so cute in her birthday hat. They sang "Happy Birthday" to her and then they sang the "Birthday Bongo" song. That was funny. Here she is playing the bongo while her class sings. :)
Later that night a few of her friends and her cousin came over for a Pinkalicious SLUMBER PARTY!! Can I just saw how loud 5 little girls can be?? They had so much fun though! First they had dinner. Gracie chose to have pizza. I included pickles, cucumbers, and grapes....they had to eat green stuff. (haven't you read the book?) Here is the dining room all decked out in pink.
After dinner they played for a while. James and I had some good laughs when they were playing Just Dance Kids on the Wii.
After she opened her gifts, we had cupcakes. PINK, of course!
When James asked Dawit if he wanted a cupcake, he RAN to his highchair yelling "Yeah!"
Dawit was clean for all of two seconds! He had pink icing in his hair (smooshed in) and even behind his ears! How did he do that?
It was a fun night. A late night....but fun. At 11:30 I was beyond tired and they were still awake! Here are some more pictures of her fun night!
This morning daddy made PINK pancakes with pink syrup and strawberry yogurt. They thought the heart shaped pancakes were so cool. (hey...I am a cool momma!)
As a little gift to all her friends, we got them a bottle cap necklace from Deena with each of their names on it. They loved it! (thanks, Deena)
Needless to say, all three kiddos crashed tonight without so much as a peep!
One last party tomorrow after church. Mawmaw, Pawpaw, and Amber are coming over to celebrate!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRACIE!
WE LOVE YOU!
